Our Chapter

Racial justice isn’t something we help people of color with. We must find our stake— our mutual interest— in joining these fights.

The Northern New Mexico chapter of SURJ is currently led by the Chapter Organizing Group (OG), comprising ~10 core organizers who meet bi-weekly via Zoom. Members of the OG set the chapter's overall vision and strategy, help lead different working groups, work with our accountability partners, handle communication channels, and stay connected to SURJ National. Current members of the OG live in Rio Arriba, Santa Fe, Taos, Los Alamos, and San Miguel counties. We are a totally volunteer-run organization.

Our Facebook bulletin board has 650+ members and our Instagram account has 850+ followers.
