Action Hours
Solidarity is a verb.
Every so often we get together virtually to take action on a crucial issue.
You know all those phone calls you’ve been meaning to make/emails you’ve been meaning to write in support of racial justice, but struggle to find time for? Come join us for an hour and we’ll act together! At each Action Hour, hosts facilitate short political education sessions on the topic we’re focusing on (often bringing in rad guest speakers working closely with directly impacted communities), then hold supportive space as all participants put themselves on mute and reach out to decision-makers in support of the specific call to action. Any time you have a question, you can come off mute and ask for support.
These Action Hours are often organized in collaboration with other groups: for example Albuquerque SURJ and the Free Them All NM Coalition. Other partners include: Stop The Sweeps / The Hook UP; Pueblo Action Alliance; People Over Private Prisons; The Red Nation; YUCCA; NM Acequia Association; Three Sisters Collective; Keep Santa Fe Multicultural; Santa Fe Mutual Aid; NM Venceremos Brigade Committee; Anti-War Coalition; Abq Mutual Aid; All-African People’s Revolutionary Party; Chainbreaker Collective; Prison Divest NM; and more.
Look for announcements of action hours on our socials and email newsletter.
